Organic flaxseed oil is a rich source of alpha-linolenic acid, a type of omega-3 fatty acid. Omega-3 fatty acids are essential for good health. This high proportion is the reason for the low smoke point and therefore the lack of heat resistance of organic linseed oil. We do not recommend frying with our organic flax oil.
Flaxseed oil also contains antioxidants, including vitamin E and various polyphenols, which help fight oxidative stress and protect cells damaged by free radicals.
Flaxseed oil is used in the food industry for various culinary preparations due to its unique flavor and potential health benefits. Flaxseed oil is often used as a key ingredient in salad dressings.
Its mild, nutty flavor adds depth and complexity to sauces and baking recipes. It can replace other fats or oils to add a subtle nutty flavor and moisture to baked goods.
To extend the shelf life, it is preferable to store the oil in an airtight container in a cool, dark place.
