Bergamot belongs to the genus Citrus, classified in the Rutaceae family. Bergamot is thought to be a hybrid of bitter orange (Citrus aurantium) and Citrus medica. It is native to southern Italy but spreads to areas with a climate similar to the Mediterranean Sea.
The evergreen plant can reach heights of up to 4 m. The dark green leaves are elongated, and the sweet-smelling white flowers open in early spring.
Harvesting of the green to yellow pea-shaped fruit takes place between November and March.

Indications for use
For external use: dilute one drop with carrier oil and apply topically.
For internal use: Dilute one drop of oil in approx—120 ml of liquid.
Aromatherapy: maximum of four drops in a diffuser.
Caution. Bergamot oil should always be diluted with a carrier oil before applying it to the skin to prevent irritation.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light.
Before using the product, it is advisable to perform a test on a small area of skin. Avoid contact with eyes.
