Tea tree essential oil, scientifically called Melaleuca alternifolia, is native to the Australian states of New South Wales and Queensland.
Tea tree is an evergreen shrub and can grow up to 10 m tall. Its trunk has white bark, and the leaves are sickle-shaped. The white inflorescences, up to 5 cm long, appear in spring and develop small fruits.

Tea tree oil has a variety of uses due to its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. Essential oil derived from tea tree leaves is renowned for its properties and can be used to cleanse and purify skin, hair and nails. Organic oil can also help reduce acne, control excessive sebum production and reduce the symptoms of eczema and psoriasis. Dilution is mandatory to avoid skin irritation (coconut oil, sweet almond oil).
Tea tree oil can be added to homemade cleaning solutions to disinfect surfaces.
Tea tree essential oil is suitable for blending with bergamot, lavender, mandarin, rosemary, thyme and ylang-ylang oils.
Indications for use
Apply 1-2 drops of tea tree oil to soothe skin irritations, mix with face lotion for deeper cleansing or apply to nails after showering to purify and maintain healthy nails.
For external use (topical application): Dilute with carrier oil. Apply one to two drops to desired area.
Aromatherapy: Put a maximum of four drops in the diffuser.
Caution! Tea tree oil should always be diluted with a carrier oil before applying to the skin to prevent irritation.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light.
Before using the product, it is advisable to carry out a test on a small area of skin. Avoid contact with eyes; keep out of reach of children.
