Apricot was originally brought to Armenia from Manchuria (China). During the Roman period, apricot cultivation was practiced in Italy. The Latin name translates as "plums of Armenian origin".
Apricot grows from three to four meters tall and blooms from pale pink to white. The apricot fruit is orange-red, furrowed along its length.
Apricot kernels, used to make organic apricot kernel oil, are hard and can be about three cm long. Inside are the softer, almond-like seeds from which apricot kernel oil is extracted by cold pressing. Afterward, the oil goes through the refining process.
Refined apricot kernel oil is an excellent base oil for various cosmetic products. Its mild and delicate scent can be used in baby care products as well as in soaps and lip and hair care treatments.
Organic Apricot Kernel Oil can be used as a moisturizing oil due to its ability to absorb into the skin. The product is also gentle and soothes sensitive skin. Due to its high content of linoleic acid, this organic oil is well tolerated by the skin.
Store organic apricot kernel oil in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. Long-Term Storage: Removing air from the storage container will delay oxidation and rancidity. Refrigeration can extend the shelf life of apricot kernel oil.
